Currently I had to use the self timer with 12s forerun. I needed the focus right before exposure, but the AF didn't work. Independet of any AF preset. The SL worked just like using back button focus.

Then I used a Fujifilm E3, it worked fine: focus right before the shot.

What is wrong about the Leica SL? Why didn't the SL focus right before the shot, even when selected continuous focus.

Any hint?

This is what the manual says:

With 12 s delay time: The delay time begins immediately after the shutter release button is pressed. Exposure metering and autofocus operation - if set - takes place 2 s before the picture is taken

Thank's, my SL has the latest firmware, but it does not work like written in the manual. Maybe the function got lost with one of the last firmware updates?

Obviously my SL hasn't read the manual 🤣
