Sam Posted September 6, 2019 Share #1  Posted September 6, 2019 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Step 1: I printed out the coding template on a transparency sheet in my laser printer. You can see the scalpel I used to cut out the template and the blue handled watch oiler I used to apply the paint. Watch oilers are very small and have a spade tip to old liquid. Step 2: The completed cutout. I did this under a stereo microscope for accuracy. Step 3: The template was aligned on the lens flange and the squares were marked with a scriber. Getting the template over the bayonet mount takes a bit of work. I think it would be ok to split the template to make it easier.  Welcome, dear visitor! Sam Posted September 6, 2019 Author Share #2  Posted September 6, 2019 Continued from previous post... Step 4: I used flat (matte) black Rustoleum paint which is a common paint in the USA. The Voigtlander lens has a convenient recessed channel which makes marking pretty easy, and I don't believe it's necessary to cut pockets to hold the paint. The paint was carefully applied using the watch oiler, and you can see the scribed marks on the flange. White isn't necessary as the camera only reads the black squares. Step 5: Lens mounted and shows as a 75mm f1.4 Summilux. Success!  Welcome, dear visitor!
