Hello! I've just bought a Flashpoint R2 Pro Mark II wireless transmitter for my S1R, and can't get the camera settings onto "wireless". A little background info first:

I have an identical Fuji unit for my GFX, along with a Zoom Li-on flash, and they work perfectly in wireless mode. The transmitter that I've now bought is the Panasonic/Olympus model, which will work in conjunction with the Fuji "type" (or any other camera brand) of Flashpoint/Godox flashes; only the transmitter that attaches to the camera hotshoe needs to be the specific model for the camera.

I've tried setting the S1R settings, which are fairly straightforward. However, as soon as I turn on the transmitter, "wireless" is greyed out in the camera settings. I've read the manual a couple of times, plus I've tried various other settings (manual mode, etc) and "wireless" is always greyed out.  ***UPDATE: "Wireless" suddenly displays now, with no changes on my part. The transmitter will fire the flash, but firing the camera doesn't activate the flash at all.***

Perhaps I need to update the transmitter firmware for the S1R? I've found the procedure for this on Adorama, but I don't see a way to determine the firmware that's already in the transmitter. How can I tell whether it's necessary? (And what are the F1-F2-F3 compatible installers?)

If this isn't a firmware issue......what am I missing?

Thanks!
Danny

Thanks. I've made a few discoveries since posting:

1) As soon as I turned on the wireless transmitter, the camera's "wireless" menu option was greyed out and apparently couldn't be selected. It's now working, without my having done anything further, and it still shows greyed out. Strange way to indicate that something is selected. Is yours also greyed out when it's actually selected and working as such?

2) After it began working, it would stop working now and then. I'd turn everything off, then on again, and it would be fine. In a few moments, it would stop working again. Finally I traced this to the Flashpoint R2. When it goes into sleep mode, it doesn't wake up with a camera button press like it should, and as it does on my GFX. Sounds like a bug. It requires a press on one of its own buttons to wake it up, or the solution that I chose, which was to entirely prevent it from going into sleep mode at all.
