Fortunately, there's a very active vintage plane community here and once a year, usually on the hottest weekend of late summer, dozens of increasingly rare & precious WWII planes from around the country gather here to display, fly, chat....... and let old men enjoy & remember It's amazing the memories these things evoke when I see & hear them in the air - takes me back to the final phase of the war, when we lived in Vienna, AUS.- when many of these planes could be seen overhead pretty much anytime during daylight hours.
