John McMaster Posted August 26, 2019 Share #21 Posted August 26, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) The 45mm is stunning albeit heavy, hardly use my 35mm these days as 24/45/70/120 covers most things john
Advertisement Posted August 26, 2019 Posted August 26, 2019 Hi John McMaster, Take a look here Need a wide lens. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
kinross Posted August 26, 2019 Share #22 Posted August 26, 2019 Thanks for reply John. I have recently bought the 120mm. That also puts the weight up a bit. I was thinking of the 45mm as I believe that would be similar to 35 MM on my M. Mike.
Stuart Richardson Posted August 27, 2019 Share #23 Posted August 27, 2019 The 45mm is superb, though a bit heavy as John says. I did not mention it because the OP was looking for quite wide lenses...it sounded like 45mm was not narrow enough. For me, it is my most used lens after the 70mm and 120mm. kinross Posted August 27, 2019 Share #24 Posted August 27, 2019 Thanks Stuart. After I had posted I did think I was a bit of the original post. The 45mm is hardly wide angle. Once I have bought one I will have 70mm, 120mm and the 45mm which I think will cover my needs. (Where have I heard that before!). Mike.
albertknappmd Posted August 27, 2019 Share #25 Posted August 27, 2019 the 45 is an unusually sharp lens and I use it frequently... Albert
Sarnian Posted August 29, 2019 Share #26 Posted August 29, 2019 (edited) I've added a shot frame my Nikon version of the converted Samyang T/S 24mm (not that that the version type matters as it's just the mount that is/was different). Taken handheld at f16 ISO 100:- https://www.dropbox.com/s/m1xri32njl14ipw/Samyang 24mm non-TS Nikon version.tif?dl=0 Edited August 29, 2019 by Sarnian Additional info
