geesbert Posted August 18, 2019 Share #1 Posted August 18, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) What am I missing here? I try to get my DNGs into my ipad pro 2018 by card reader, but it won‘t work. It gets stuck on the import prompt. Importing it by wireless works, but it is soooo slow. Are the files not supported yet? No problems with ricoh or sony or fuji files... stefan

geesbert Posted August 18, 2019 Author Share #2 Posted August 18, 2019 It‘s an hyperdrive...
DexL Posted August 18, 2019 Share #3 Posted August 18, 2019 I also have a iPad Pro 2018 and import files almost all of my files with my apple sd card reader. I’m thinking the hyperdrive may be the issue since it’s not part of my setup. A quick trip to the Apple Store will allow you to test this out. geesbert Posted August 18, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted August 18, 2019 You‘re probably right. Strange though, that all other files transfer without problems...
DexL Posted August 18, 2019 Share #5 Posted August 18, 2019 If the hyperdrive needs a power source it could be the size of the file and the power needed for the longer length of time given the larger files is the issue. An iPad port is not a typical power source like the MacBook , anyway that’s my thought.
alksv Posted August 19, 2019 Share #6 Posted August 19, 2019 I use the Hyperdrive and have no issues whatsoever. I use the Files app to browse the SD card and copy the shots I select.
geesbert Posted August 20, 2019 Author Share #7 Posted August 20, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Looks like my hyperdrive is caving in, now I can‘t transfer any files from any card anymore. I am on holidays so a solution has to wait till I am back.
