I can load Nikon raw without a problem.  I know the procedure.  Leica M 8 & 9 DNG will not transfer to session.  I tried with two computers, two card readers, two Leica M cameras.  Sometimes I can force a few to transfer usually on a new session,  adding never works.

Problem two is the images look beautiful, even the Nikon ones.  But the finisher I have been using for years can not print them.  They end up way dark.

We printed 47 small ones 4 times this week to no avail.   I did find there is a buried linear raw option that gives me a starting image like ACR.  The default has way to much saturation and contrast that I can not subdue without damaging the file.  This is much like consumer film you try to make look like pro film. That trial starting with linear raw is being printed now.

Anybody guess what could be wrong with DNG not loading when I follow the same steps as with Nikon ?

Histo appears normal and I use levels.

With Nikon I just File-import after selecting capture file in session/collection as destination.  Selection screen pops. up, I pick images, click on import lower right.  They pop right into capture folder.

If I do this with Leica,  I get an error message image did not transfer.  I have Lexar cards and reader, to cameras, two computers, I do not erase images, format only in camera,  One computer is brand new.  The cards have little use and came from B&H, not EBay.

After a lot of work I found a way.   Go to session folders on left, pick M8 or 9 ,  open to DICM, open to Leica 100. All images appear in browser AND command + J will move them to selection folder where I can process them.

There is a second way I will short cut where the Leica 100 opens in desktop and I drag and drop to the capture folder on the hard drive and Cap One  application sees it and I can command +J and start working.

Nikon works these two ways also

Fuji finisher who has do my pic for years without problem.  After 4 tries no luck,  I used the flat curve to start in image characteristics and they printed  normally.

I have an answer from customer support that I have not read.  We will see.
