The Cosina-Voigtlander 35mm/1.2 seems to be a almost forgotten lens but the results are very promising.

Here you go...

Both with the 35/1.2 v1, which I kept after testing it alongside the v2. It's a "sleeper" lens, mostly due to its bulk and weight, and I must say I haven't been using it as much as it deserves lately.

First on the M8, taken in Southern France 10 years ago.

Second on the M9, taken in Stockholm 8 years ago almost to the day. Edit: probably not wide open, though.

Like your shots. Wide open it has a very special character, and the bokeh is very smooth. As I like to shoot photos wide open I'm quite happy with the choice.

I had intended to sell my CV 1.2/35mm II already, due to its weight and size it never was picked for a photographic excursion or holiday, but was left at home. However, when I started to accompany our regional Urban Search and Rescue Unit in its trainings, I realized how great this lens is, how easy and quick to focus. So I not only kept it, but added a 2.0/75 to have something with wide aperture on the telephoto end. Here are some pics I shot with the CV 1.2/35mm, all of them at f1.2 or 1.4.

On Monochrom

The exif data is of course an approximation of the aperture used.
These should be 1.2 or close to it.

Yesterday in the evening I attended one of our search dog trainings. Light was poor, so I had to use the CV 1.2/35mm wide open, not smaller than f2.0, mostly f1.4 and 1.2 at ISO 1600 to get a shutter speed of 1/250 sec. Dogs sent into the search were passing me at high speed, so I had to prefocus on a specific spot and hope to catch the right moment. Again, I was pleased by how easy and fast this lens can be focussed correctly.
