garygsandhu Posted July 30, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 30, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) When shooting RAW with my M8 and using a B+W branded UV IR 486 cut filter mounted on the lens, which profile do I select in Capture 1 LE workflow /Color Management Settings menu: M8 generic, M8 generic UV-IR , or M8 IR 486? I find the M8 IR 486 selection gives muted colors. Could someone please explain what these different profiles are for? Thanks, I couldn't find a straight answer in the old posts. Advertisement Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Hi garygsandhu, Take a look here M8 and B+W 486 UV IR Cut Filter: which Capture 1 profile do I use?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pklein Posted July 30, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 30, 2007 Gary: Use "M8 generic UV/IR." The "M8 IR 486" profile is no good--someone here told me that it is incomplete and was later withdrawn from C-One. "M8 generic" is for use without an IR cut filter. --Peter

Are there profiles available that I don't have? Thanks for the help. Dave G in NJ
