codocee Posted July 11, 2019 Share #1 Posted July 11, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sorry for posting but I need help. I just purchased a used Q and am trying to become familiar with it. After shutting down the camera and restarting, it is showing the 35mm crop lines without me changing anything. It is frustrating as I've set the digital zoom to 28, but it still occasionally reverts back to 35mm after shutting down and restarting. Any ideas what could be causing this? Hoping its me and not the camera. Any help is appreciated.

codocee Posted July 11, 2019 Author Share #2 Posted July 11, 2019 Got It! I am using an older Thumbs Up that is a bit shorter and taller than the Q version. It actually gives me enough room to get at the thumb wheel a bit easier but it also sits closer to the zoom button. I discovered any amount of pressure on the thumbs up activates the crop lines button. I'll be more conscious of it and see if it is workable or a new t/u will be in order. Another possible solution could be to add a spacer between the thumbie and the body preventing coming into contact with each other. What a camera- I think this might be a keeper
