JWPATE Posted July 7, 2019 Share #1 Posted July 7, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have had this D-LUX Leica for years without any problems until recently. Now, with everything set to auto, when I press the button fully in for a photograph, I get several images rather than just one. In fact, if I hold the button down it just continues to produce images, I suppose until the memory is full. It acts as if stuck somehow in a motion mode, but I have turned motion picture off completely with no change. Can anyone suggest what the problem is, or where I can send it for service? Thanks, James

wda Posted July 7, 2019 Share #2 Posted July 7, 2019 James, have you considered a Factory Reset? You will have to reset your original time settings, etc. But it might do the trick.
JWPATE Posted July 8, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted July 8, 2019 Thanks David, for that suggestion, and it does seem to be good first action to try. However, I simply don't know how to perform a factory reset.
BrianH8er Posted July 8, 2019 Share #4 Posted July 8, 2019 JWP Page 50 of the manual tells how to reset. As that document does not allow copy and paste you will have to look and read it. All the best
wda Posted July 8, 2019 Share #5 Posted July 8, 2019 You don't specify a model number, but here is a method for Lumix cameras which often share common menu structures. Press [MENU/SET] button. Press < / > button to select “Setup” menu and then press [MENU/SET] button. select “Reset” and then press [MENU/SET] button. When a message appears select “Yes” and then press[MENU/SET] button. That should reset the camera to ex-factory settings. I have never needed to do this, but it is a simple method of curing obscure operating faults. JWPATE Posted July 8, 2019 Author Share #6 Posted July 8, 2019 OH, THANK YOU SO MUCH FELLOWS. Yes I did the reset routine and it has cured the problem! Everything now is working as it should, and I just cannot thank you enough. James
