75. is a lot better, but neither is a speed monster. when the light goes down, they both suffer, I think the 75 has a more obvious drop in performance (starting from a better place).

The zooms are clearly better than either prime but then again none of them has state of the art AF and in particular when things are moving 

Rendering is beautiful on both, but I would not buy them for AF alone ...

50/1.4 is adequate for most requirements. 75/2 is better than adequate for most requirements. 

Both start to stumble at the usual hurdles that limit Contrast based AF, but not enough to annoy on a regular basis. 

With fast lenses like these accuracy of AF is more important, and from that point of view both are pretty faultless. 

Neither are noticeably quicker on the S1R .... despite Panasonics better implementation of CDAF.
