Ritzen Posted June 7, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 7, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello everybody, I’m quit new to this forum, so please be gentle 😉 Since the introduction of the original Q I’m thinking about getting one. Now, with the Q2 I’m ready to pull the trigger, I’m a bit worried about the sensor size however. At the beginning of the year I completely switched from my MacBook Pro to an 12,9” IPad Pro (2018 model). My workflow consists of importing the files from the camera directly into my iPad, importing the photo’s into Lightroom/photoshop CC for editing. After editing I export the photo’s back into the Apple photo’s app (Since this is my main photo library). With the Q2 bigger sensor I’m a bit concerned that this workflow will be very frustrating. I’m Very curious how the iPad will handle the 80MB files. Does any of you have experience with the Q2 in combination with the iPad Pro? Hope you can help me a bit. Advertisement Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Hi Ritzen, Take a look here Leica Q2 vs. iPad Pro. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
PeterBoyadjian Posted June 7, 2019 Share #2 Posted June 7, 2019 I use a IPad Pro 11 with my Q2, I find the workflow to be faster than my MacBook Pro 2018 15 In. Only issue is the resolution of the screen, you'll see more details on a retina. Buy one when IpadOS is release to the public, if it doesnt suit your needs just return it. hcklr Posted June 8, 2019 Share #4 Posted June 8, 2019 I have the same iPad as you, and the Q2 and that's primarily how I edit. I have no issues with it at all.

jmc014 Posted June 12, 2019 Share #6 Posted June 12, 2019 I import directly into my iPad Pro 12.9 (3rd Gen) from the SD card, and the import process is generally pretty painless. I use Lightroom on the iPad Pro to edit my pictures. Works fine.
