I spent several hours searching the Internet for Panasonic customer (camera) service and encountered only two options:

1.  One option involves choosing from a predetermined list of problems, but if your question does not coincide with those choices your email is rejected.

2. The second apparent option is their Professional Customer Service program.  However, membership—as they term it—requires ownership of at least 2 Panasonic bodies and 4 lenses.  But the requirement of 4 lenses poses an unfulfillable proviso for "S" Camera owners, since Panasonic has only released—to my knowledge— 3 "S" lenses to date.

Therefore, at the current time, Panasonic customer service for their professional line of cameras, whether it be the S1/S1R, G9 or similar, is nonexistent.

Thank you for the link, but these are dealers, not technical support.  And while they may be willing to act as a middleman by lodging a query, it's not quite the same as timely, direct contact.

I must say that I love the Panasonic approach to camera bodies (S1/S1R., G9), and their lenses are not too shabby either, but the absence of direct support is troubling, as is the requirement for ownership of a given amount of product to achieve eligibility for Pro Service (read: invest a targeted amount of money in their products).

I'll call my dealer of purchase as they're on the list.

Fortunately, at this point I have no serious issues but I do have a few questions that I have been unable to answer from an Internet search or from various forums.  My concern is basically, what happens if a major issue does crop up, who do you call?

Thanks, the link was informative and did provide a phone number that I had not been able to find.

800)211-7262

That’s also the first number that comes up with Google ‘Panasonic camera customer support’.
