dhsimmonds Posted July 27, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 27, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Now that Leica are not publishing past versions of digital firmware downloads on their web site, I am wondering if there is any merit in somehow having a library of these which can be readily accessed for download by forum members? Some users still insist that v-1.1 for the DMR for example is the best for them (it's not for me) but it is now unavailable to download from Leica. I have no idea how this could be done but I bet there is someone who does!
Advertisement Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Hi dhsimmonds, Take a look here Digital Firmware Library. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
sdai Posted July 27, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 27, 2007 I'm sure that Leica will complain for copyright infringement if a third party hosts a web site for this, if you need 1.1 for the DMR then I can send you a copy (when I get back home today). andybarton Posted July 27, 2007 Share #3 Posted July 27, 2007 If someone has collected all the Firmware updates, then Leica can hardly object to that. It's not dissimilar from Carsten working out what all the 6-bit codes are. As far as I know, he hasn't had the boys in blue round since doing that work.
