Advertisement Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Hi intinsifi, Take a look here M7 and rain. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
budrichard Posted July 27, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 27, 2007 Like most electronic/mechanical cameras, the M7 is not water resistant let alone water proof. Many have developed all types of methods to deal with this. Me, I have the new Leica bag with internal water resistant seal. If rain is in the forecast, bag goes with me, if not, bag stays in car. Carrying some zip lock bags is also good insurance. I assume you are not a professional, so your job does not depend on your pictures. As a professional news photog many years ago, my Nikon F's were repeatedly exposed to light moisture, freezing weather and other mechanical beatings. They kept working. I would not do this with my M cameras today because I have no need and repairs are costly.-Dick
