Greg Haag Posted May 6, 2019 Share #1 Posted May 6, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sigma Converter Canon EF to L Mount on S1R Just got the Sigma Converter Canon EF to L Mount in this weekend and have not had much time to test it, but so far it has worked as expected. This solves a problem for me, in high res mode it generates a 16,736 x 11,168 pixel file and allows the use of my Canon 24mm tilt/shift. I also shot a few images with my 17-40 and both aperture and focus work normally.
Advertisement Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 Hi Greg Haag, Take a look here Sigma Converter Canon EF to L Mount. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Greg Haag Posted May 6, 2019 Author Share #2 Posted May 6, 2019 As an additional note, I just tried my Canon 100-400 with 1.4x extender and Sigma Converter and both aperture and focus appear to work.

Thanks. How is the speed of the focus compared to the same lens-configuration on Canon body? Edited May 6, 2019 by helged

When I initially connected the adapter, it seemed like on the first focus there was a slight hesitation but after that I would say similar. That being said, I was not really focusing on anything that would push the system to really test it.
BeuBu Posted May 7, 2019 Share #5 Posted May 7, 2019 All, I also just got the Sigma MC-21 EF to L. I‘m observing a little backlash at the EF side. Means, after the TSE-24 clicked into the mount I can still turn the lens left/right about 0.5 to 1mm. That is a little uncomfortable feeling. It is definetly not as tight as with the Novoflex adapter. Did you recognized this with your copies as well?
HeinzX Posted May 7, 2019 Share #6 Posted May 7, 2019 I would be very interested if this converter works with Canon EF lenses (esp. the macro lenses) on the Leica CL too. The Novoflex only works only on my SL, it cannot be used with the CL at all. I would be grateful for information regarding this point.

I'm using the adapter with the S1r. May be somebody else can help... Best regards, Uwe

BeuBu Posted May 8, 2019 Share #9 Posted May 8, 2019 Very nice and impressive resolution, Greg. By the way: did you recognized also a little backlash/play at the EF-side of the adapter (refer to my earlier post on this)?

There is not enough to make me feel like the lens is not properly attached, but enough that I wonder if there could be light contamination on long exposures.
