Advertisement Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Hi dorin, Take a look here leica r lens on canon 5d. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stunsworth Posted July 24, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted July 24, 2007 I've taken lots of images with a 5D and Leica lenses. There are a couple of things to bear in mind. There is no automatic link between the camera and lens, so you have to rely on stop down metering. I found the camera to over-expose ehen using the R lenses, so I always dialled in -2/3 stop exposure compensation. Â Most of the photographs in the following link were taken with a 5D and Leica lenses... Â Miscellaneous Snaps - 2006
Paul Hart Posted July 24, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted July 24, 2007 Steve: I like the Anthony Gormley shots especially - I've seen them and your shots capture the effect very well indeed.
Cindy Flood Posted July 25, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted July 25, 2007 I have used the 5D with Leica 35 cron, 50 cron, 50 lux, and 60 macro elmarit, I took many beautiful photographs with them. Â Set the 5D on A priority. You may need to dial in some negative exposure compensation. Focusing is easier with the lens wide-open. Once manual focus is acheived, stop-down the lens to the desired aperture. Â I sold my 5D (to fund my M8 kit) and am now using the 35 cron and 60 macro elmarit successfully on my Canon xti. Iron Flatline Posted July 26, 2007 Share #5 Â Posted July 26, 2007 How does the lens fit on the EF mount? Is there an adaptor?
Jamie Roberts Posted July 28, 2007 Share #6 Â Posted July 28, 2007 Um heck yes there are R-->EOS adapters. Some of them are even "focus confirming." I like those--the 5d actually lights up the "in-focus" LED when I'm shooting with an 80R lux and manually focusing
