Capnord Posted March 30, 2019 Share #1 Posted March 30, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) The new Lumix S 70-200mm f/4 is now in my bag. First impressions : - good surprise, it's really compact and light. Better than expected. Good for travel and ride. - AF speedy and quiet, effective stabilization, good image quality even wide open, very little vignetting. - the bokeh could be better, more smoothy. In total, I don't regret my purchase, considering the practicality of this zoom. Best regards. Philippe Welcome, dear visitor! darylgo Posted March 31, 2019 Share #3 Posted March 31, 2019 Philippe, glad to hear it's light. Carrying my 90-280 on a hike last week was burdensome, although the pictures are worth it. Can you compare it to other zooms you've shot with? Canon, Nikon, Leica? Thanks.
sillbeers15 Posted March 31, 2019 Share #4 Posted March 31, 2019 Has anyone tried the AF-C focus tracking of S1R with the optically superb Leica 90-280mm ApoVE?
Capnord Posted March 31, 2019 Author Share #5 Posted March 31, 2019 Darylgo, I've used Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VR1 during a lot of years. I can really see the difference when riding. Of course the Lumix is not so luminous...
