sbeckhardt Posted March 22, 2019 Share #1 Posted March 22, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently updated to the latest version of Q firmware, before I left on vacation. I now notice sometimes the Q is very slow to come out of battery save mode. This is when the switch is on, but I haven't used the camera for over 2 minutes, for example. Sometimes it wakes up very quickly. But occasionally it takes 3-5 seconds. And once or twice it didn't wake up at all. I want to take a shot, I half-press the shutter button and nothing happens. I have to turn it off and on again to wake it up. Has anyone else seen this? Let me clarify one thing as "battery save mode" is ambiguous. I have seen this problem with "Power Saving Mode" both on and off. When "Power Saving Mode" is off, I have "Auto Power Off" set two minutes.

LexS Posted March 23, 2019 Share #2 Posted March 23, 2019 I do not have that issue. Quick always.
LexS Posted March 27, 2019 Share #3 Posted March 27, 2019 Do you have an old battery (say 2015)? When batteries are old and have a lot of loadcycles they tend to loose capacity and degrade. Perhaps a new battery is recommended, buy the Panasonic DMW-BLC12E battery, cheaper and exactly the same as the Leica BP-DC12.
