jlancasterd Posted July 21, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 21, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm considering buying a 2nd series Elmarit-M 135/2.8 (the one with goggles) for use with my M8 but understand that these lenses are susceptble to balsam separation. Here in UK, there are certainly a number being advertised at low prices because of this problem at the present time. Is this something that can be cured by a skilled lens mechanic - and is it an expensive operation? If it can be cured, is there anyone in UK who is particularly skilled at carrying out the work? I wouldn' want to send a lens to Solms any time soon, knowing how backed up they are with work at the moment Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
