Photoskeptic Posted July 21, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 21, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) This will probably be zapped. I have an M4 for sale. I tried to list it in the classified section. Gee, you must have an existing or establish a PayPal account to list. I find this discrimatory. I will never have another PayPal account. I feel the moderators should allow other forms of payment to list an ad. It's only $5 for crying out loud. Give me a break, here. End of rant. Advertisement Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Hi Photoskeptic, Take a look here M4. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ron110n Posted July 21, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 21, 2007 Personally I will prefer to add escrow on anything above $500 US. Of course buyer pays for the escrow. Escrow holds the money, buyer receive the item and declare to be as decribed. Escrow send the money to the seller. -Ron
Photoskeptic Posted July 21, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted July 21, 2007 Andreas wrote me and explained his situation. I understand from where he is coming, but I still feel it is discriminatory. Perhaps he could trust us to just mail him the lousy $5?
Lucklik Posted July 21, 2007 Share #4 Posted July 21, 2007 I dfon't like Paypall, they have an hard selling attitude. I feel very unconfortuable with them. :-(( Gee, you must have an existing or establish a PayPal account to list. I find this discrimatory. End of rant. Photoskeptic Posted July 21, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted July 21, 2007 In retrospect I think there should be something similar to what photonet does, those who want to may pay a yearly fee to support the website and they get to use the services such as the classifieds free of extra charge. What do you think of that Andreas?
stunsworth Posted July 21, 2007 Share #6 Posted July 21, 2007 The less like Photo.net this site is the better <grin> I think Andreas wanted to avoid creating a two class membership. Personally I wouldn't have any problem paying an annual fee - this is one of the few photographic sites I can say that about - but it brings with it all sorts of problems regarding admin. And how would people pay if other than with Paypal? Like it or not Paypal has transformed international purchasing of small value items.
