Tour de France Photos and Leica Spotting

I was pedalling across the Pyrenees the same time as Lance won his Sixth in 2004. I will remain in Seattle as a web and TV spectator this year just when the field is wide open. Will it be Ullrich, Basso, Landis, Hincapie, Leipheimer or ? on the podium in Paris. The Tour starts on July 1,. This is my appeal to forum members to post Tour de France Photos of the Cyclists, the Event, and spectators using Leica Cameras, better known as Leica Spotting (maybe biased towards Ullrich and T-Mobile?)

Your feelings about a particular published photo from the Tour could even be an "excuse" to rant about cycling and the Tour!

So will anyone be attending (and posting?)

Hi FF!

Sadly, I won't be going...but you have a terrific idea going here.

Vino is my guess. He's been gathering momentum for some time now. With Lance gone, he should be primed to go forward for good.

What web outlet have you found that is good to follow Le Tour? OutdoorLife's TV coverage is super, but I can't rely on that at work!!!

:)

Thanks.

Allan

Hi,

this is a great idea to collect informations. Even the camera I used last year to catch Ivan Basso isn't a Leica (sorry, I bought mine in April), Ivan looks good I think.

The camera was an old Minolta Dimage S3, 3 MP with a response time like the Amoco Cadiz ;-)

Pls. excuse this issue :-)

..and here you get an impression how it sounds when you hit the track of the "prolog":

Alan,

You can check out Bob Roll's daily dispatch from the Tour at http://www.olntv.com.

Here are some other links:

T-Mobile: http://www.t-mobile-team.com

Discovery: http://team.discovery.com

Jan Ullrich: http://www.janullrich.de/

Levi Leipheimer: http://www.levileipheimer.net/

Ivan Basso: http://www.ivanbasso.it/

I am smiling because you say you are limited to sites you can get to at work. I currently have a six month sabbatical after 20 years in one place in the Information Technology Field. I am going to be immersed in Tour coverage!
