jrp Posted December 30, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 30, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I seem to have lost mine. Is there an easy way to get a replacement in the UK? Is there a part number to quote?
Advertisement Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 Hi jrp, Take a look here Replacement rubber eyecup. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
thighslapper Posted December 30, 2018 Share #2 Posted December 30, 2018 (edited) What have you lost ...... the whole assembly or just the rubber bit leaving the plastic mount with the multiple holes/serrations in it ??? Post a photo of what you have left .... If it's just the rubber ..... it is almost impossible to fit it back on because of the way the mount locks into multiple small perforations in the rubber bit..... believe me.... I have tried and it defeated me. There is either some assembly tool or it is fitted before the eyepiece bit is attached to the body (part of the bit holding the rubber is attached by screws from inside the eyepiece assembly and pinches the two halves that the rubber locks into). Major surgery to the rubber bit was required to get it back on in my case and the end result is not brilliant. I fear it's going to be a trip to Solms. If you are in the UK and you're lucky it may be something Leica Mayfair can do ..... they are equipped to do some simpler service tasks. jrp Posted December 31, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted December 31, 2018 Thanks. It’s just the rubber. You explain why my attempts to get the rubber back on tightly failed and so why I lost the ring inadvertently.

My was torn, am wondering how much does it cost to replace it?
jrp Posted July 14, 2019 Author Share #5 Posted July 14, 2019 Yes. It cost several hundred £, but they also did a lots of other repairs to the cosmetics and recalibrated things, etc.

jrp Posted July 16, 2019 Author Share #7 Posted July 16, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) It would have been a month or less if I hadn’t negotiated down the (unremarked to eye cup) repair scope and cost, which needed a bit if to and fro.
mercan Posted September 29, 2019 Share #8 Posted September 29, 2019 I have received my SL two weeks ago after M9 upgrade program, with the rubber part of the eyecup came off on the upper side. It was limited to only one hole of the rubber circle, I pushed it back using my surgical loops and using the tip of the fine screwdriver. It looked ok at the end, at least cosmetically.
