Advertisement Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Hi PMendes, Take a look here Expodisc again. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wparsonsgisnet Posted July 18, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted July 18, 2007 Pedro, I believe that when you place the expodisk in front of the lens, you get a "funny," grayish image. Your software allows you to White Balance to this. Â For example, in C1, you select this image, place the eyedropper in the gray area, and click. Then you save this wb profile with a name of your choosing. Subsequently, when you bring up one or more images, you wb them with this setting. Â Someone else might describe the wb process in PS. Â NOTE: the image from the expodisk needs ot "see" the same light that your image will reflect. If you do a search here for expodisk you can see what the deal is. You can also go to the expodisk website: Â ExpoImaging

PMendes Pedro You go into the menu and find the white balance settings, select Manual ..the camera will request that you point it at a white reference card. Put the expo disc all the way over the lens ..like a lens cap... point it at the light source (like an incident meter) ..fire the shutter. the menu will indicate that you have set a manual white balance. It will retain this setting until you reset it. Of course if the light changes you will need to take another reading.
