Didn’t there used to be a photo lab in Old Compton St?  I seem to recall getting Cibachromes printed there.

I'm sure I used to occasionally drop off E6 films somewhere around there in the late 80s or early 90s. Metro?

First shot with my 1966 Summicron v1 as I walked out the Leica store in Amsterdam. It was a dark day here in NL.

I love the 8elements and I am sure you will do too. Great people at the Leica Store in Amsterdam, did you purchase the lens from them?

There used to be a lab on Dean Street, I forget it's name now though.

About when the M9 was released, there was a lot of discussion here about focus shift with the first 35 Summilux ASPH.  The FLE version was released shortly after that, and it solved that problem (not that the floating lens element had anything to do with solving focus shift).  Everyone was pretty happy, and amazed at the lens, though many preferred the non-FLE ASPH.

All this is water under the bridge.  The was a member here called Tim Ashley who ran a blog, testing lenses and Leica gear that caught his attention.  He was very good at this, but it got too much and he stopped blogging.  One of his last reviews was of the 35 Summilux APSH (FLE).  You might find it interesting, Arthur.
