nutmeg Posted December 7, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 7, 2018 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Here are some pictures taken with an M9 & Voigtländer Heliar 50mm 3.5 on m9 Iso 320, F3,5, between 1/125 and 1/350 hand held. All are BW out of the camera, without any Lightroom process, only a bit cropping for some pictures. Click the pictures to enlarge. Welcome, dear visitor! Color DNG converted with Photoshop without light or any treatment F3,5 is not the best match to an M9 because you can shoot only with day light but I find the resolution, contrast, bokeh and color rendition outstanding. Minimal distance to the subject is 0,7m so F3,5 can give a very shallow depth of field if one is near enough. I should post a comparison to my Nokton 1.5 asph Edited December 7, 2018 by nutmeg
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Archiver Posted December 29, 2018 Share #2 Posted December 29, 2018 (edited) I have the nickel limited edition of this lens, and it is the most 'organic' rendering of all the lenses I own. The images it produces on the M9 are amazing, although it's really a daylight only lens. Under shade on a sunny day, or a slightly overcast day, it's almost magic. Portraits with this lens are superb, giving a smooth but detailed look to faces with a sense of 'aliveness'. Ko.Fe. Posted December 29, 2018 Share #3 Posted December 29, 2018 I had f5.6 lens on M-E for few months. It was fine indoor lens with small hint of Leica flash. Went for f1.9 lens instead, but missing compactness and character of f5.6 lens.
