ptruman Posted July 15, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 15, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Got fed up with the weather so went walking anyway earlier this week. This is one of the results - the sheep being in place was serendipitious and in my view makes the image. The sky got slightly less grey and a bit of colour as the sun set (behind me) at about 9.30pm. Location is Curbar Edge, Derbyshire Peak District close to Curbar Gap. Pete

andybarton Posted July 15, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 15, 2007 Now, there's an edge with potential. Serendipity or not, that's a good shot.

MrEd Posted July 16, 2007 Share #5 Posted July 16, 2007 Hi Pete, Is this shot straight out of the camera? As Andy said, lots of potential here. Thanks for sharing. Ed. .
ptruman Posted July 16, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted July 16, 2007 Ed - yes straight out of the camera (M8, 28mm cron) The gritstone edges start near Ladybower Reservoir and keep going to the Chatsworth Estate and beyond; they make a great walk of about 25 miles. I have also been attempting to photograph the whole length over the last two years at different times of day and seasons. Still some bits missing, mostly to the north of the area but making progress. Many thanks for looking and of course the comments, most appreciated. Pete
