sdai Posted July 17, 2007 Share #41 Â Posted July 17, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I totally agree with Richard. Anyone who really knows anything about Leica plans will not say (or write) a word.....not even hint! Â Well, if you have read the Steven Lee interview in LFI, the Leica CEO has given a lot of hints. Â I understand that some may not want to see what's happening but, nothing you can do about it.

macos Posted July 17, 2007 Share #43 Â Posted July 17, 2007 I would definitely love to have a DMR. But: I am only not willing to invest the still significant amount of cash in a digital product. However, the right time will come
gogopix Posted July 17, 2007 Share #44  Posted July 17, 2007 I think that the DMR must go down as the shortest lived and least supported Leica product ever. I bet they wish they'd never bothered with it at all.  Actually the DMR will be considered the digital turning point. After looking at an end of run for R glass, all of a sudden new, and old glass was gobbled up (by many here!)  It also set the stage for the M8, and the RF turn.  And already these cameras are compared NOT technically, but by professionals as competing with larger sensor Nicanons and even Med format.  With a faster R10 and M9 in the market, Leica will have a solid position.  Whether is succeeds in the long runs who cares? right now we have some great stuff; remember in the long run we are all d...  :-)  Regards
