Color shifting like that has nothing to do with the sensor corrosion issue that the sensor was replaced for...

I agree. I hope it is something related with the new sensor having a slightly different coating and so requiring lens profile update, this could be (hopefully) solved in a future fw upgrade.

In the two-three years since the M9 replacement sensors have been being installed, I don't recall seeing a single post on any forum mentioning that the 'corrosion' problem has resurfaced.

I've seen a few scares here an on another forum, but to my knowledge they have all been false alarms.

Glad to know the new sensor is good so far. Now I can be relaxed and enjoy the simplicity with the outstanding image quality of the new CCD M9 sensor! :)

My two M9 cameras have corrosion spots and I cope.. Rather than sending the cameras into dark months at Leica making them unavailable to me I have automated post-processing that fixes the spots in a second.

Consider the same.

I had my M9 sensor replaced in 5/2017 and have about 2300 shots on it since then (I also have a Weather sealed Pentax K-1ii for inclement weather). I use it sparingly and lovingly as it is special, but I have had no problems with the replacement sensor.

On a separate note, some of the white paint on the body has peeled off....is there a white touch up pen that any of you can recommend to fill in the crevices. it's minor issue because as you all know the sensor replacement has a complimentary CLA built in  and other than these cosmetic issues it looks like it did 8 eight years ago (there's also minor brassing on the power switch but that's expected.)
