Spending some time on an empty beach so really struggling with subjects! Here are 3 very similar shots, all wide open.

I agree, I seem to attract these quiet places recently in life. Hopefully it helps spark some creativity, I’m here for 4 months this year.

I both love it and hate it! 😄 I don’t so much hate the glow, but I hate the 1m focus limit and the plastic-like veil that sometimes covers the images when wide open. But from f/2 and onwards I always love it!

The pre aspherical is very nice, i had one, but it has a really particular and special character, you either love it or hate it !

It’s my favourite lens but like Ernst, I wish it focused closer, f1.4 is a lottery but at f2 for portraits, it’s magic for me. It needs to go in for a focus tab repair at some point and I’m tempted by the Summicron v3 or v1 whilst it’s away. Here is one at f2

Another Spitalfields regular.

The space was tight, the street busy, so I had to be quick.

I hadn't realised what a tilt I'd put on the image until I got home.

I've mostly been using my 50 pre lately, but yesterday I had the opportunity to photograph some cars again in nice surroundings with my 35 pre. The plan was to use f/2, but had to go for f/2.8 due to the strong light.

Oh, that Ford Anglia - and that rust some of us remember so well.
My school vacation job was in a car body shop. So many of these came through our doors to be patched up (resin filler, fibre glass, lead solder and occasional sheet steel patches), and resprayed for sale.
