Not a particularly interesting photo but this Soho pub played a bit part on the stage of world political history.

Built around 1793 it was the Red Lion pub until 2013 when it became the Be At One Cocktail Bar.

"The Red Lion, Great Windmill Street, Soho.
On 29th November to 8th December 1847 the Second Congress of the Communist League was held in the upstairs room of the Red Lion, Great Windmill Street. At this meeting Karl Marx and Frederick Engels were asked to write an action programme for the Communist League. This programme was published in February 1848 in German as 'Manifest der Kommunistischen Partei' or the Communist Manifesto."

Another interesting London pub, this time in Fitzrovia.

The Newman Arms was built around 1730 and appears in George Orwell's novel Nineteen Eighty-Four where it was the model for the "Proles" pub.

It featured again in his Keep the Aspidistra Flying, and in Michael Powell's film Peeping Tom.

And the street name is certainly a tribute to Basil Rathbone, who starred quite well as Sherlock Holmes in a series in the 1960s.

Shows what a versatile lens this is.  Here, at full aperture, the lighting chosen avoids the glow and the resolution is respectable—perfect, in fact, for many subjects.
