Wondering if anyone else has this issue. When I try to view DNG RAW files from my M240 in Windows 10's Photos app, they appear tiny. I have to open them in Lightroom or Capture One for them to show up full size. So this isn't impacting my editing ability, but it is quite annoying. I don't have this issue with my Canon CR2 RAW files or my Sony ARW files. I'd like to be able to browse through them as I do my Canon RAW files without having to load up Lightroom.

It’s only showing the embedded jpg thumbnail. Does it reinterpret the dng if you zoom in?

I think (but don’t have Windows) that if you shoot raw+jpg it will show the jpg but it may not have loaded the dng into the photos app.

Zooming in just makes it all pixelated and bad looking. Definitely only a thumbnail.

I'm shooting RAW only, no jpgs. And as I said in my OP, this only happens with my Leica RAW files. My Canon and Sony RAW files display in full resolution just fine in the Win10 Photos app.

After some more testing, I have interesting results. The Photos app (the default photo viewing app in Windows 10) still only shows the preview after installing the Adobe codec (couldn't find any credible free 3rd party ones) but when I use Windows Photo Viewer - which is being deprecated by Microsoft soon - it works just fine and the DNG files load properly in full resolution. So it seems like the issue is Microsoft's Photos app has a bug when dealing with DNG files specifically because Windows Photo Viewer and other 3rd party applications like Lightroom and C1 have no issues with them. Also weird because as I said, the Photos app loads other RAW files just fine.
