I have heard it is made in batches by a third party for Leica, so I guess they are dependent (a) on batch size and (b) how flexible the contract with the third party is for increasing production. Yes, I was told (by a prominent Leica dealer) there was a problem with a machine at Wetzlar that worked on the lens glass elements, but that was a while ago, and I have no idea if that affected lenses made my a third party. 2 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
