lesh Posted July 10, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted July 10, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) From my mailbox today I see that other Leica owners (in my case a D-Lux 3), seem to be eligible for 'the discount'. Â Interesting, but...............

spylaw4 Posted July 10, 2007 Share #5 Â Posted July 10, 2007 ........Brian got a hold of the 25mm and it seems to be an awesome lens........... Â Â My initial feelings are that it is very good - it will need more and varied use before I can really tell but .... could it be as good as the D2's Vario-summicron? Time and photos will tell. Watch this space - well the photo forums anyway!

XD7 Posted July 10, 2007 Share #8 Â Posted July 10, 2007 It would seem the offer is better in Britain than it is in the United States. Â Ffordes Ltd. in Inverness is offering the Digilux 3 at 1225.00 GBP after the Leica Customer Loyalty discount and the Panasonic L1 at 1199.99 GBP. Â B&H offers the Digilux 3 at $1800.00 after the Leica Customer Loyalty discount and the Panasonic L1 at $1299.95. Â Interestingly enough, the 1225.00 GBP price is equivalent to $2483.95, which is not far short of the $2499.00 asking price at B&H prior to the discount. Â It's a funny old world. Â Thinks: Maybe I should get out more.

Some years since I've been there, but I'm amazed that a camera store apparently flourishes there, far less one stocking both P & L versions. Anyway, ATC, I think we must expect that a new product announcement (at least from P) is imminent.  Les
leonpro Posted July 11, 2007 Share #10 Â Posted July 11, 2007 Has anyone taken the incentive? I did from BH yesterday then my order is stuck under "processing". I look today at the BH site and they are out of stock. Hmm.
--davez Posted July 12, 2007 Share #11 Â Posted July 12, 2007 I went to the specified website but could not find any link for the promotion. I don't know if I'd take advantage of it (I'm pretty happy with my VLUX-1) but I was a little disappointed with the lack of specific instructions. --davez
lesh Posted July 13, 2007 Author Share #12 Â Posted July 13, 2007 If I understand their process correctly - you go here Leica Camera AG - for loyal customers to register and receive the discount voucher.
--davez Posted July 15, 2007 Share #13 Â Posted July 15, 2007 Thanks, Les. The link worked perfectly. --davez
leonpro Posted July 16, 2007 Share #14 Â Posted July 16, 2007 B&H was applying the customer loyalty discount instantly at their site without even the need to register and present the certificate. I wonder if they had a misunderstanding with Leica about the rebate or if they were registering someone else to get the certificate and apply it to the purchase.
