theQ Posted July 6, 2018 Share #1 Posted July 6, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Good morning, have a problem with the AF/MF switching in the Q. It happens (from time to time) that after using MF and switching back to AF, the lans stays in MF mode or is rapidly jumping between the two modes... Anyone here with simmilar problem, any ideas? Should I send it to Leica for repair? Still on waranty... Thanks!

Leica Guy Posted July 6, 2018 Share #2 Posted July 6, 2018 I’ve not experienced that in any way. Sounds like as long as you’re sure its solidly back in AF that you should have it checked by Leica.
Guest jvansmit Posted July 9, 2018 Share #3 Posted July 9, 2018 I had an issue with the manual/AF switch....it sometimes wouldn't lock into AF when switching back from manual. Leica replaced the entire lens assembly.

OlliJarmo Posted September 15, 2018 Share #5 Posted September 15, 2018 Thanks for the replies, will check what Leica would say. So what did Leica say ?. I used to get blurred pics, without quite understanding why. Then I noticed that the focusing rectangle doesn't appear every time I switch to AF and lock. Turning the focusing ring slightly back and forth, while locked, usually brings it up and AF works. Sometimes I have to switch the camera off. Extremely annoying. Happens almost every day.
