Pete that's wonderful! Sent tingles down my spine. A great composition. And did you go up following Wainwright's footsteps?

I assume it was yet another UK grey day hence BW rather than colour! I see the clouds clipping the top...

Pete,

It was a grey start/finish with sun in between :)

Having been up all these hills lots of times over the years we didn't actually get to the summit of any, on a lazy day of contouring and just poking about generally.

Thanks for commenting.

I keep returning to this one, and can't quite put my finger on what is disturbing me about it.

I think it might be the relatively flat light across the face of the horseshoe, which leads to less modelling than one would normally see.

The low angle viewpoint is a good idea though.

I have to say that this summer is turning out to be a real challenge - roll on the Autumn... :)

Will this rain ever stop?

Dunno, but my neighbour's started building a boat and yesterday asked me where he could find two aardvarks - apparently he doesn't need the zebras for a couple of weeks, but he's also on the lookout for a couple of ant-eaters and armadillos.

Wonderful!!! I have a baboon and a badger - anyone else in Lancashire with a cat and a canary please call Whitehall 1212 and ask for George Blair.

Too many Range Rovers and Cayennes.

Torch 'em. The Welsh have got the right idea! And the Cornish - if reports about that middle class icon Rik Stein are correct

I was talking about climate change, not Sloanification :)

They are symptom and disease!! There was a time the pre-slonians did no harm- just bought cakes :) Sorry - not a Leica negative - from my glory days in the 1980's with a Bronica. TIC (Internet-missing emoticon for tongue in cheek!!)
