Edber Posted June 29, 2018 Share #3 Â Posted June 29, 2018 (edited) The app for with wireless connection to your Leica TL app on you iPhone is supposed to work better. Â In the last version I found it wonky at best so I gave up on it. Â In this version what is different is that instead of your camera connected to your phone's hotspot, this is the other way around. Â You connect your phone's wifi to your camera's wifi. Â I've done it and it doesn't seem to be much better. Â I'm using an iPhone 8plus with the current version of the Leica TL iOS app with a Leica T. Â Â Oh well, I never used that app much anyway. Â I used if more for a quick upload to social media if I didn't want to develop it at home first. Â Maybe it's better with the Leica TL/TL2(?) Â I'll update if my experience gets better at all. Â I could be missing something... Â But I am happy about the 18mm Elmarit support. Â I just got that lens recently and LOVE it!!! Â When I got my T originally I got it with the TL 35 1.4 (which I adore) but it's on the heavy side so it's a conscious decision for me to take out my camera. Â With the 18mm it's so light and small that my T is more easily an everyday camera Edited June 29, 2018 by Edber
graphlex Posted June 29, 2018 Share #4 Â Posted June 29, 2018 The 18 mm TL was already supported in 1.7. I wonder what has changed for that lens. Nothing apparent.
soundimageplus Posted June 30, 2018 Share #5  Posted June 30, 2018 Focus peaking now works for adapted lenses via my Novoflex adapters, but it seems that the magnification option has disappeared. Anyone know whether this is still there via the Leica M>TL or R>TL adapters? It would be handy to know whether this works before I spend a lot of money on the 'official' adapters.
mieroslav Posted June 30, 2018 Share #6 Â Posted June 30, 2018 Magnification still works. Tested with my VC 35/1.4 and Leica M adapter.
FrozenInTime Posted July 1, 2018 Share #7 Â Posted July 1, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) These new firmware additions were just what I wanted to hear, so pushed the button a TL2 and M adapter. Will replace the X100F which I just did not gel with - too much button clutter, forever getting into wrong setting, and did not like focus by wire. Marac Posted July 1, 2018 Share #8 Â Posted July 1, 2018 I believe the firmware also corrects CA for native lenses a little better. Not that I noticed a lot of CA on my T because it's been converted to IR.
