photon17 Posted June 26, 2018 Share #1 Posted June 26, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently bought a new Leica Q. Along with other photographic equipment I own I think it would be nice to get some type of insurance. Any recommendations in the UK, please?

Peter Kilmister Posted June 26, 2018 Share #2 Posted June 26, 2018 I use a company called Eversure. They are best value for money and impose fewer conditions than their competitors. My only gripe with them (and their competitors) is that one can get either 'UK only' cover or 'worldwide' cover. It is a shame that they don't offer 'UK and Europe' cover as an option. andybarton Posted June 26, 2018 Share #3 Posted June 26, 2018 My cameras are insured via my home and contents insurance, worldwide. The cover is for new-for-old, up to £25,000, which more than allows for my modest requirements. The premium for my home and contents is less than a dedicated photography equipment policy used to cost to cover the same items. It wasn't a difficult choice to make. I haven't made a claim in over 20 years.
