I have the optical finder for 15CV which I used only once with my M9. I simply shot by looking through RF finder and imagined the wider view. It was never a problem. Now with M240, I do the same. It is much faster. I only use LV for shooting from tripod. No EVF needed. IMHO, EVF is needed only for long lenses. YMMV.

21 mm is a field of view of around 90 degrees, I can ballpark that reasonably well.

Shorter focal length must be a lot harder to pre-visualize, 21 mm is the widest I go.
