When I was a kid I used to be taken by my grandparents for a week in Rhyl every summer. It's a place that has seen better days, or perhaps I just see my childhood visits there through rose coloured spectacles. Canon 5D, 28mm Elmarit [ATTACH]4603[/ATTACH] A few years ago Rhyl (and several other Welsh seaside towns such as Barmouth and Fairbourne) gained the unenviable title of 'DSS* on Sea' thanks to the large number of out-of-work layabouts they attracted as long-term residents in run-down boarding houses.
