lambroving Posted August 6, 2006 Share #1 Posted August 6, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Perfect day for spectating on the club track day before the day of serious racing at Mallory Park. Wonderful to see a young family running a super restored pre-war Series I Le Mans. There were several others there as ~1,000 Morgans had appeared by Sunday, but they are super rare. I'd only seen one other on the road before, and that was in Canterbury in 2000. Naturally, Ron has better shots of this car. They even voluteered to move so that he could get some better views... Advertisement Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Hi lambroving, Take a look here Track Day. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
andybarton Posted August 6, 2006 Share #2 Posted August 6, 2006 Looks like that one had to be led by the nose to get there Did Ron move up the hill and take one looking down onto the track with the car in the foreground? That's what I would have been tempted to do, especially if the family had offered to get out of the way.
lambroving Posted August 6, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted August 6, 2006 Silly boy! Trailers are a no-no in the Morgan Community except for the full-blown race cars which are not remotely street-legal. It probably runs better than your BMW. Did you think this was the United States?! Possibly. I thought I had a shot of it with the control tower in the background, but I don't unless I've overlooked it...
andybarton Posted August 6, 2006 Share #4 Posted August 6, 2006 I was referring to the electrical cable that seems to run from the top of the radiator... I doubt very much whether this runs as well as my BMW, which is now getting nicely run in.
uulrich Posted August 13, 2006 Share #5 Posted August 13, 2006 Hi William. Yes, I second Andy. Have the Ladies released the chap in the trunk later on?
elansprint72 Posted August 13, 2006 Share #6 Posted August 13, 2006 William, There is currently one of these for sale not 20 minutes from Lord Barton's place. Maybe if he went for a test drive he would catch on? To get rid of that cable use the smudge tool in PS, having made a copy first! I've done it and I'm a complete Klux with this modern techno whizz stuff. Cheers, Pete.
