lufan1011 Posted July 6, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 6, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just bought a digilux 3 two weeks ago, now I am thinking to buy an adaptor to re-use my R lenses. My concerns are: 1) Because there is no info transmission between R lens and 4/3 camera body, how the processor recognize the aperture setting on the lens? 2) If set the aperture to a smaller value, for example f 8 or 11, the viewfinder must be looked very caliginous, is it true? Then it would be difficult to manually focus. Hope can get help from you about the professional comments. Thanks Lu Fan

graeme_clarke Posted July 6, 2007 Share #3 Posted July 6, 2007 Hello Lufan, Its an easy process. I tried mine for the first time last week. Set the shutter speed dial to A. Open the lens aperture wide and focus. Close the aperture to the setting you want, compose the picture and take the shot. The camera operates in aperture priority mode. Here are 2 shots of the same picture of a Foxglove taken with the R 100mm f2.8 macro, handheld. The second is a crop of the first. Hope this helps, Graeme
