C Lux 2 Questions

As the owner of the V Lux 1 I am wishing to stick with the Leica brand, (call me a snob I don't mind), and am now prepared to go with a no viewfinder pocket P&P. This gives me the choice of C Lux's 1 & 2. From what I can gather the 1 is hard to get new and the C Lux 2 has a marked LCD viewing improvement, so it's the C Lux 2 I'm deciding about. The price of the thing is horrific in OZ but if someone can answer these questions I would on the basis of those answers still consider it.

 

Q1. When people refer to its problems in low light situations what are they comparing it to and in what situations. IE are they comparing to other basic P&P cameras or to something a bit better. If its comparable to the V Lux that would be good enough.

 

Q2. I have heard and seen that in Programme 2 mode it takes excellent shots with shallow DOF. While this appeals to me greatly I would ask do the preset modes, sport in particular, really give you the "grab a snap on the fly" capabilty that the marketing blurb suggests it does and more importantly how does the quality stand up with these.
