Greetings, planning my trip to Africa this summer and welcome recommendations to carry a couple of extra lenses (Nocti, 35FLE and 90EM).  The Optech neoprene are compact and then there are wraps, but prefer something that will keep elements 'out' and will have lenses in a small bag.  Any thoughts welcome on what folks have been happy with-- don't want 'flashy' for obvious reasons.  Many thanks

Providing you camera bag is rainproof why do you need extra lens case. For a system like M with smallish lenses Billingham bags are hard to beat, I used various Billingham Hadley’s with M camera and lenses in typical African off-road setting, also Asia and closer to home without any issues.

Microfiber towels absorb shock well.  Roll up the lens in the fabric,  put it into a household sealing plastic baggie and you are all set for the apocalypse. See ya there when it happens! Bring a self-timer.

Thanks for the idea-- the concept of the Billingham insert is intriguing.  I have a couple of the "Thinktanks" in black as they look pretty inoccuous.  They do have a rain cover which I only need if it is really pouring.  I was thinking about Optech (I had loads from my older Canon 5d2-- but they are too big and the pull-cinch top isn't going to keep dust out.  I was thinking something in the Optech neoprene family as an 'extra' protection inside the Thinktank.  I fear that Billingham's are a kind of 'magnet' for anyone who knows what might be inside.  Hence the more discrete Thinktank-- but open to all ideas.  Want to protect the Nocti and FLE as you can imagine.  Many thanks for ideas.  The microfiber inside ziploc bags is a cool idea...but I think I want something a tad more bespoke...hah
