mountainboy Posted July 2, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 2, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) The old chestnut I'm referring to is the LI vs Digilux 3. Leica have just launched the voucher scheme so that antyone who has purchased a new Leica's this year can get £565 off the price of the Digilux3 by submitting their serial number and downloading the voucher. Some sellers are advertising the Digilux 3 at £1695, making the price, with the voucher, £1135. I have found a new L1 for £899 from a highly legitimate source. What the hell do I do? What the hell would you do( and why)

XD7 Posted July 2, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 2, 2007 Any link to this voucher scheme for the Digilux 3 discount? All I can see is the offer for the Nature Sets.
mountainboy Posted July 2, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted July 2, 2007 Was told it is happening today. Two reputable Leica dealers told me it was going live. When it does I'll post the link
elansprint72 Posted July 2, 2007 Share #4 Posted July 2, 2007 OT but I just bought a new FZ-50 for my son for exactly HALF what I paid for my V-Lux1.
robert_parker Posted July 4, 2007 Share #5 Posted July 4, 2007 If it's true, people trading in their Digilux 2s for a D3 cosing £895 could be well miffed - especially if they'd bought or were planning to buy something like a C Lux 2 this year

robert_parker Posted July 4, 2007 Share #7 Posted July 4, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I sense some grumpiness on the horizon - in England, exchanging a D2 with a failed sensor for a D3 costs GBP 895 A new D3 under the voucher scheme costs £1225 - which in effect values the D2 at GBP 330:eek: when a reasonable secondhand price is GBP 599 -
mountainboy Posted July 4, 2007 Author Share #8 Posted July 4, 2007 Indeed. I solved the conundrum. I found a dealer that was not doing the full price on the Digilux 3. The price difference was then only £140 between the L1 and Digilux. Have ordered the digilux. Problem solved.
