Friends,

My new silver Q is on its way. Very excited. This past week I got to play with  my son's Q and get a feel for the electronic essence of this camera. I was surprised how familiar it felt in the hand. The wait gives me spend more coin on items that vary in necessity. A screen protector is high on the list. Over the years I have  used Giotti/Schott glass protectors on my M9 and S. I prefer not to  adhere  anything to  the glass. And after inadvertently swinging my M9 into the path of my tripod head, which shattered the screen protector but left the screen  largely unscathed, I am all about the most robust screen protector I  can find.

A search of the archives led me to this link: http://deff.co.jp/product/dpg-leq

While this company makes protectors for cell phones, I am curious if a more rigid cover would interfere with the touch functions.

Thanks for the help.

David

Thanks. Looks good. Can you kindly describe how it  adheres to the camera. My M and S glass covers have an adhesive strip that attaches to the LCD bezel, and essentially floats above the screen ever so slightly. But I was concerned that  a similar configuration might  impede use of the touch functions. Do you find this not to be an issue.

Cheers.

It adheres directly to the glass and is easily removable. The touchscreen works great. I liked it much more than the Leica version. But it’s not too expensive so you can give it a try and see if you like it.
