jaspersf Posted July 1, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted July 1, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) i have a d-lux 3 and need to use it along with a bowen studio slave flash. i am using the camera on manual exposure with the flash setting at forced on (no red-eye). when i press the shutter, the leica flashes and the slaves flash at the same time (like it should- so far good), but the images are completely underexposed no matter what aperture/shutter settings i try. please help! i need to get this working ASAP... wmyowell Posted July 2, 2007 Share #2  Posted July 2, 2007 Jay, it's not apparent, but there is a pre-flash which triggers the slave, but means the slave's light isn't "seen" by the sensor. This pre-flash is not the same as the anti-"red eye" flash. It's for exposure measurement purposes.  What you need is a digital flash adapter, which will allow the slave to ignore the pre-flash.
