Something I just found with my CL that is a bit annoying (though I will freely admit there is no effect whatsoever on image quality or use)...

The "vault like" connection between the lens and the lens mount that I am used to with my 'M' isn't there with the CL.  In particular, I notice that when I attach my 'M-Adapter T' to the camera it can move around a little bit. Same with TL lenses.  They not only twist a tiny amount (normal with a bayonet), they also can be slide a bit from side to side or up and down.  Fractions of a millimeter, certainly, but it's just enough to make a clicking sound.  I notice it with 'M' lenses mounted in particular as normal handling can induce the click from the tiny movement. It seems to be a bit less noticeable with my two zooms, probably due to their lower mass. I don't see this with my 'S'L or with my 'M10'.  It's just not quite as tight a fit between the lenses and the mount as I am used to.  I checked, by the way, and the lens mount is tight to the body.  It's the lenses (or the 'M-Adapter T') shifting with respect to the mount, not the mount shifting with respect to the body. And, again, it's just a hundred microns or so, nothing that really matters aside from the fact that I can feel it and, in particular, hear it.

Same for anyone else's CL?  Or is it just mine?

When I mounted the M adaptor, I found it moved, too. I wouldn't say it rattles around, but with a good grip on the M lens, you can get it to move. It does not seem as solidly joined as other Leicas. I didn't try to make it misbehave after that....I'd hate to find the looseness causes a light leak.

I can sense movement as you describe, but I have to push the (Leica's own) M-Adapter T firmly sideways. I checked with the SL and there's the same movement, perhaps requiring a bit more force. No movement between the lens and the adapter (I only tried one lens).

But I hadn't noticed before, and it neither annoys me nor worries me.
