didier Posted December 3, 2017 Share #1  Posted December 3, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear all, has anyone tried how CL, SL and M(240) or M10 compare regarding shutter lag (or found the data about shutter lag ?) My analog Ms almost get no use anymore since I bought the M(240) 3 1/2 years ago. But sometimes I just feel the digital M (240) has some shutter lag my analog Ms don't have between the moment I shoot and the resulting picture. How does the CL, the SL, and the M(10) compare (using manual lenses) ?  Thanks for sharing your experience !  Didier
Advertisement Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Hi didier, Take a look here shutter lag (CL vs SL vs Ms). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ramarren Posted December 3, 2017 Share #2  Posted December 3, 2017 I have the SL and the M-D at present. Between the two, the SL has just barely less shutter lag when used with the same manual lens ... and of course, it can capture at up to 11fps if I so choose. I haven't seen a CL yet, but I would suspect it to perform in between the SL and M-D based on what I've heard about its dynamics so far.
LocalHero1953 Posted December 3, 2017 Share #3 Â Posted December 3, 2017 No measurements, but my gut feeling is the CL is faster than the TL2, and about the same as the SL, TBH I don't notice any lag on the M240 without the EVF. I don't have the M10. Â I would expect the CL to be faster than the M240+EVF. As the M10 uses the same EVF as the TL2 it wouldn't surprise me if the CL was faster than the M10+EVF.
helged Posted December 3, 2017 Share #4 Â Posted December 3, 2017 +1. Â By comparing the CL and the SL on the table in front of me, I would say that there are no discernible differences in the delay. I can not back the observation with numbers, but it is based on what I hear and what I see when I look through the EVF.
